INSTRUCTORS

There are two main trainers within the troupe, Martin and Gemma, who each have over twenty years of being involved in Baton Twirling. Martin has passed his grades up to Supreme One level, and between 1993 and 2003 was a registered judge with the United Kingdom Federation of Majorettes. Gemma has passed her grades to Supreme Four level, and competes to Championship level with the UKFM. Both have completed an instructors course with the UKFM.

We also believe that everyone should help one another, and it is part of the members training that they are encouraged to teach others the skills they have learnt. So quite often you will see Seniors helping Juniors, Juniors helping Juveniles, and sometimes even Juveniles showing a Senior a trick to learn. They all know the benefits of being a team and with supervision they soon learn the skills they need to help each other.

Dance Instructor

We are very fortunate to be able to call on the expertise of Jessica, who is an essential asset to our training sessions. Not everyone can dance, and that was true in the case of our members, but Jessica has made a tremendous difference to our troupe displays and also added another fun element to our sport. 

            Jessica is nineteen years old and qualified at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and is very much looking forward to graduating in July. Jessica made her west end debut in "Annie" playing the part of "July" at the Victoria Palace Theatre at the age of ten. Her television credits include: "Eastenderas" playing the part of a prostitute. You may have seen Jessica on Westlife's "You raise me up" music video, The Noise Next Door "Dirty Girls" video as well as Work In Progress (W.I.P) "Been waiting for a girl like you" music video.

              Jessica has also performed on "Top of the POps" with Jay-Z singing "It's a hard knock life" as well as performing in front of Prince Charles in the Royal Variety Show. Jessica has appeared in numerous commercials such as Six Nations Rugby, Walkers Crisps, Realm Retail, and most recently a Sky Bet commercial for Premiership Plus.
