Health and Safety Policy Statement
The policy of the Troupe is to provide and maintain an environment which is safe and without risk to health. The reduction of risk can contribute to troupe performance by reducing injuries and ill health, and reducing unnecessary losses and liability.
Therefore we accept in full our responsibilities and aim to achieve, as far as is reasonably practical, the highest standard of health, safety and welfare to protect our members, volunteers and visitors.
In order to achieve this policy we will ensure:
· that particular attention is given to safe systems of work and the absence of risks to health
· that places of attendance are maintained in a safe condition
· that training, information and supervision in matters of Health and safety are given
· that all members and volunteers clearly understand their Health and safety responsibilities
· that resources are made available to implement this policy
· that where necessary, protective equipment is made available
· that the activity environment does not knowingly compromise the health, safety or welfare of members
that relevant policies, procedures and standards are developed, implemented and reviewed.
