On Friday 12th,May some of the troope and parents met up at some local woods and went for a walk. As we started our journey we spotted baby rabbits hopping about and some squirrels running around.

The path was muddy but we spotted many flowers and plants,: such as Yellow Archangel, Violets, Elder Flower, Wild Arum and many more.
The trees such as Oak, Sycamore and Silver Birch were surrounded by Bluebells and they covered the ground like a blue carpet.

As we made our way round there was a little stream and the banks were covered with Wild Garlic with an aroma of onions.

It was a wet journey as the day had already been raining, but it was still a beautiful walk with lots of nature around. We saw frogs, birds, and a few damsel flies near a pond.

Ferns, violets and ground ivy were covering the ground where there were no bluebells.

As we made our way back we saw some fungi on some old tree stumps. The journey took about one and a half hours.

Other plants seen on route included some shown below.

Burgoss Orchid Yellow Nettle Sticky Balls Chestnut
